SALUTATION
Praise the Lord!
Ladies and Gentlemen, brothers and sisters, my friends.

It is once again my pleasure to stand before you, children of the most high God. Congratulation for the wonderful celebration you did in previous Sunday services.

You indeed demonstrated that:
  • Unquestionably Unique;
  • Superbly Special;
  • Gloriously Gifted;
  • Outstandingly Amazing.

SPIRITUAL MOMENTUM Vol 2:
SPIRITUAL DORMANCY

Pilot Verses: Deut 1:6 - 8.

1:6 "The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, "You have stayed long enough at this mountain.
1:7 Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring people in the Arabah, in the mountains,..
1:8 See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers - to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - and to their descendants after them."

INTRODUCTION
* MOMENTUM refers to the Quantity of motion of a moving object.
         Momentum = Mass x Velocity

* SPIRITUAL MOMENTUM is a force that increases the rate of spiritual development.

Brethren's, anything in the cosmos whether in motion or in its state of rest faces resistance. Any design either visible or invisible is subjected to resistance.

"The first law of motion states that; every body persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by force impressed on it"

SPIRITUAL DORMANCY
* The law explicates that, any matter maintain its state of rest unless it is compelled to change that state by forces acted on it. Such inactive state of rest in spiritual issues is called Spiritual Dormancy. In this state, there is neither experiential, movement, progress, increase, way out and nor direction.

"Meditate the Journey of Israelites"

Discus Deut 1: - 8.
Deut 1:6. God said that, "they have stayed long enough at this mountain".
  • Mountain refers to an obstacle, a hindrance, a challenge, a situation of impossibility, difficulties, or problems.
Deut 1:7. God tells them to break camp and advance..
  • They were in a state of stagnation.
  • Stagnation leads to frustration, just as stagnant water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and germs.
  • It is not the will of God that we remain in the same place or condition all the time.
  • God brings us to the places so that we can learn the lessons of life and move the next level.
  • Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm (passion, zeal).
* One's destiny is determined not by what he/she possesses, but by what possesses him.
* However, it is our responses and attitude which determines how long or how short we stay at a certain place/condition.
* The Israelites had overstayed at mount Horeb because of a wrong attitude (feelings) to the dealings (contact) of God. Deut 1:26 - 31.
 * They stayed at mount Horeb for one year, a place which was not their destination.
 *  The chosen of God, am telling you now, the problems you are facing right now are not a reflection of your destiny or future.
 * It is time to come out and make a progress.

Deut 1:8
"Behold, I have set {set: Heb. given} the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them."

* ... Go and possess..
  • The word possess in Greek is "Yarash", (Yaw-rash) - meaning to occupy by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their place.
CONCLUSION:
"Any stronghold that keeps you stagnated, is demolished, in Jesus Name!!!"
