INTRODUCTION:
Meaning of Momentum:
Momentum is the quntity of motion of the moving object.

Meaning of Spiritual Momentum:
This is the force that increases the rate of spiritual development.
Eph 3:20
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us". (NRSV)
"Now to Him Who, by [inconsequence of] the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super abundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams]." (Amplified Bible)
THE FIRST LAW OF MOTION states that:
"Every body persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed on it".

ANALOGIES FROM THE LAW:
- It shows that, one must take action to overcome resistance.
- We are subjected to two types of resistance.
- Resistance from the World;
- The resistance from within us.
"Until we are all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
Our momentum is oriented to:
- Unity in the faith;
- The knowledge of the Son of God;
- The fullness of Christ.
Neh 4:7 - 9.
"You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks... better keep biskuits and move on."
Neh 1:1 - 4.
"Every truth passes through three stages before it is recognized:
- Ridicule;
- Opposition;
- Accepted as a self-evident.
"for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries". (RSV)
IF THE RESISTANCE IS FROM WITHIN US:
Heb 12:1
"... let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." (RSV)
The God we serve is unmovable mover.
Whatever God commenced in you, will be accomplished.
He is in the business of transforming, whoever is born again.
CONCLUSION:
Nothing that transcends human capability can hinder us from being in God's likeness, provided we yield to his might transforming power that is wrapped in his revelation.
